Many Austrian customers are currently wondering about the cent amounts that Amazon recently transferred to them as a “refund”. If you take a closer look, you will notice that the respective purchases were sometimes made months ago.
On social media, those affected wonder why these small amounts are refunded. Some even report several transfers in one day.

“Technical problem”
At the request of futurezone, Amazon is vague about what is behind the transfers. The company does not want to go into the exact background, but is talking about a technical problem that occurred during the purchases. The written statement specifically states: “Due to a technical problem that has since been resolved, some customers’ orders may not have been invoiced correctly.”
What exactly the technical problem was or what triggered it, Amazon leaves in the dark. Even when asked again, a company spokesperson did not want to reveal any details. In addition, the company only says that it apologizes to customers.
